Event Planning for Edgewood Fair 2009

Table Decorations for Edgewood Event

A year ago WDFA decided to include charity-giving in our portfolio to give back to the community that supported us from the very beginning. We created a separate but complimentary identity to reach out through event marketing and nonprofit community support, and identity in which everyone at WDFA contributes to.
One of our most recent events was the Edgewood Fair for the Edgewood Center for Children and Families that took place May 5th and 6th, 2009. The Fair originally began as a modest event hosted by the Auxiliary to buy holiday gifts for Edgewood’s children. Today it is a major fundraiser that has raised many millions of dollars over the years.
Jordana Better, Coordinator of WDFA’s Events and Charity, was the central organizer for the two-day long party, including the silent auction, tequila tasting, seated luncheon and VIP reception. WDFA’s design team created and coordinated the branding for the invitations, programs, signage, letterhead, web page design and posters.
Some 700 supporters, donating over $200,000, swarmed this soiree that starred a delish McCall Associates spread, specialty cocktails created by acclaimed Absinthe mixologist Jeff Hollinger and a Cigar Bar & Grill-sponsored (outdoors, of course) cigar bar.
Coverage of the event was featured in San Francisco Magazine, 7×7, Town and Country Magazine and Daily Candy.

You can reach Jordana at 415-659-8950. or jordana@wdfamarketing.com
